Loes Ingeman, 92

   Loes Ingeman, 92,  Hallock, Minn., passed away at Kittson Memorial Healthcare Center, Hallock, Sunday, March 19, 2017.
Evelynn Loes Johnson was born June 12, 1924  east of Kennedy, Minn., to Philip and Esther (Lofberg) Johnson. Loes was delivered by her grandma Lofberg who served as midwife and  was baptized at Maria Lutheran Church. She attended Kennedy School through the 4th grade and in 1934 when her family moved to a farm north of Karlstad Loes enrolled in school there. She was the Valedictorian of Karlstad High School in 1942 and took a job in Minneapolis after graduation. Loes returned home and began working at the grocery store in Kennedy.
On October 1, 1944, she was united in marriage to Morris Ingeman at Halma, Minn. They settled on the Ingeman farm for a short time before moving in 1948 to a farm west of Kennedy. After going through two floods, Loes and Morris purchased a larger farm near Humboldt, Minn. Loes cooked at the Depot in Pembina and  Pearl’s Café in Humboldt for 12 years and enjoyed meeting so many people.
She enjoyed craft work and took home many ribbons from the Kittson County Fair.  Loes was a member of Pembina Lutheran Church and taught Sunday school  for many years. The couple retired from farming in 1989. Morris passed away on March 16, 2005. Loes moved into an apartment in town after 80 years of country living. She dearly loved her family, friends and the life God had given her.
She is survived by her children, Cheryl (Dale) Dunn, Bemidji, Minn.; Daniel (Rebecca) Ingeman, Hallock; James (Lori) Ingeman, Crookston, Minn.; David (Sharon) Ingeman, Roseau, Minn. and Cari (John) Hanzel, Brandon, S.D.; 11 grandchildren, Jilayne Dunn, Chris (Maria) Ingeman, Cassy (Josh) Peterson, Sara (Mitch) Anderson, Dustin Ingeman, Molly Ingeman, Katie (Josh) Guy, Cody Ingeman, Taylor, Logan and Kaden Hanzel; great grandchildren, River and Aurelia Lee, Marcus Ingeman, Brooke and Brynn Peterson, Piper and Parker Anderson, Max, Eli and Isla Guy.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Morris; a grandson, Jason Dunn; two sisters, Jane and Leatrice and brothers, Larry and Don.
Funeral services were held Thursday, March 23, 2017, 11 a.m. in Pembina Lutheran Church. Inter-ment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Hallock. Rev. Beth Peterson, presiding; Marg Dykhuis, soloist and Sharlene Klegstad, organist. Casket bearers were Loes’ grandchildren.
Austin Funeral Chapel, Hallock, was in charge of the arrangements.
