Dublin, Ohio - Barbara L. (Bowman) Johnson, 63, Dublin, Ohio died after a courageous seven year long battle with ovarian cancer the morning of Oct. 25, 2012.
She was born in Hallock, Minn., to the late Glen and Violet Bowman. She was a 1968 graduate of Kennedy High School in Kennedy, Minn. She earned a two year business degree in 1970.
May 27, 1972, she was united in marriage to Donavon Johnson, Hallock, Minn.
Throughout her working career, she held numerous positions, none more important than being a mom and grandma (Mimi), which she enjoyed the most.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Donavon; daughter, Stacy (Brett) Johnson, Englewood, Colo.; two granddaughters, Katie and Ellie and son, Blake (Colleen), Glen Ellyn, Ill. and granddaughter, Ashlyn; sisters, Bonnie Tyszelman and Beth Gatheridge; brothers, Byron and Brent Bowman and their families.
Preceded in death by parents and her father-in-law, Edmund Johnson.
Funeral service was held Oct. 30, 2012 at Fellowship Lutheran Church, Columbus, Ohio. Interment was in Kennedy, Minn.
