KITTSON CENTRAL SCHOOL BOARD MEETING
November 30, 2012
The Board of Education of #2171 met in regular session November 30, 2012 at 8:00 p.m. in the Kittson Central boardroom. Members present were Paul Craigmile, Mark Johnson, Katie Langen, Crisa Mortenson, Richard Mortenson, and Mike Sugden. Absent Don Schuler. Also present were Superintendent Jaszczak, Terry Ogorek, Matt Kuznia, Deb Gatheridge, Corinne Lipinski, Gail Norland and Sandra Lindgren.
The meeting was called to order by Chair Sugden. The amended agenda was approved by Johnson, seconded R. Mortenson and carried by all in favor. Motion Johnson, seconded C. Mortenson to approve the October 22, 2012 regular school board minutes. Motion carried. Motion Craigmile, seconded Johnson to approve the November 13, 2012 Kittson Central Canvassing School Board Meeting. Motion carried. The bills having been audited and found correct were ordered to be paid on motion by Johnson, seconded Langen and carried by all in favor. Bills were approved for $103,616.66 and post payment bills (hand payables) were approved for $14,435.56. End of the month balances were:

Motion R. Mortenson, seconded Craigmile to approve the 2011-2012 Financial Audit. Motion carried. Respective members and administrators gave board and administrative reports. Athletic director Ogorek has been contacted about 2 North Border students playing hockey with KCC. We will entertain this resolution if a formal request is made by the North Border school board. Motion R. Mortenson, seconded C. Mortenson to approve the 2012-2013 revised budget as presented by Superintendent Jaszczak. Motion carried.
Superintendent’s Report
The Truth and Taxation meeting will be held December 19, 2012 at 8:00 p.m.; which will also be the regular school board meeting. The MSBA Conference will be held January17-19th in the Twin Cities. The new key lock system is working well and Superintendent Jaszczak will work with IT staff in getting the website updated. The next school board meeting will be held December 19, 2012 at 8:00 p.m. in the Kittson Central boardroom. Motion Johnson, seconded C. Mortenson to adjourn meeting. Motion carried.
