Lake Bronson, Minn. - Karen Levenhagen, 67, Lake Bronson, Minn., died May 2, 2012 at the Karlstad Healthcare Center in Karlstad, Minn.
Karen Lee Westphal was born April 10, 1945 in St. Paul, Minn., the daughter of Benjamin and LaVerne (Hedlund)Westphal. She grew up at St. Paul and attended school there.  
She  worked as a waitress and a child care provider for many years.  
June 29, 1996 she was united in marriage to Palmer Levenhagen at Lake Bronson. Because of failing health the couple moved to the Karlstad Healthcare Center and have resided there for the past two years.  
Karen is survived by her husband, Palmer and many nieces and nephews.  
Funeral services were May 4, 2012 in Zion Lutheran Church at Lake Bronson. Interment was in Riverside Cemetery, Lake Bronson.
Pastor Kathy Levenhagen, presided; Lenore Olson, organist and Kristi Wojciechowski, soloist.
Pallbearers were Wade Levenhagen, Jason Levenhagen, Todd Levenhagen, Mitchel Karol, Kevin Braget, David Levenhagen, Phil Levenhagen, Steven Levenhagen, Austin Braget and Mitchell Braget.
The Austin Funeral Home of Hallock was in charge of arrangements.
