Hallock, Minn. - Patricia “Pat” Romans, 73, Hallock Minn., died Sept. 8, 2012, at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, N.D. She was surrounded by her family when she went home to the Lord.
She was born in Fargo, N.D., July 27, 1939 to Earl and Frances (McLaren) Hoffa. Her mother passed away when Pat was four years old. She was taken in by her aunt and uncle, Gina and Bill McLaren, whom she called “Momma” and “Daddy Bill”.
Gina passed away when Pat was 10 years old. Pat married Ralph Embury July 14, 1956 in Fargo, N.D., where they also made their home.
Together, they had two boys, Ralph “Rusty” and Michael. After they divorced, Pat and her sons moved to Williston, N.D. In 1962, Pat married Dale Romans and then had three children together: Dawn, Dale Patrick, and Christi Jo.
Pat worked much of her adult life at Wisco in Williston. After working at Wisco for over 30 years, Pat retired in 2011. She then moved to Hallock, Minn. to retire to small town living.

Her children often joke that they never missed a day of Sunday school their entire lives. Pat got great joy from gardening and sharing the fruits of her labor with others. Above all, Pat loved her family. She was a
pillar of strength and wisdom and spoke of her children and grandchildren with great love.
She is survived by her children: Rusty Romans, Mike (Shelly) Romans,
