Kay Moe
Hallock, Minn. - Katherine (Kay) Moe, 83, Hallock, Minn., died at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, N.D., Sept. 13, 2012.
Katherine Joyce Moe was born June 30, 1929, in Hampden Township near Northcote, Minn., to Charles and Alice (Cameron) Bedard. She graduated from high school at the Northwest School of Agriculture in Crookston, Minn. in 1946. 
She married Marlowe Harris Moe June 13, 1948, in the Northcote Presbyterian Church.  They lived in Thompson Township and farmed until they moved to Hallock in 2004.
She was an active member of Northcote and Hallock Presbyterian
Churches, their women’s organizations, and her local homemaker’s
club. Kay was a passionate homemaker. The coffee pot was always on, fresh buns, caramel rolls, and cookies were always available, and everyone was welcome in her home. Family and friends who needed assistance were never turned away. She was absolutely devoted to her roles as wife and mother.
She is survived by three children, James (Jill) Moe, Lakewood, Colo., Cynthia Moe-Crist, Arvada, Colo., and Kenneth (Shelly) Moe, Richfield, Minn.; one grandson, Jonathan Moe, Denver, Colo.; sisters-in-law, Katherine Foss, Park Rapids, Minn., Vera Moe, East Grand Forks, Minn.,  and Myrtle Branes Glendale, Ariz., and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Marlowe; her parents;  sister,
Margaret; and four brothers, Riston, Marvin, Willis, and Walter.
Funeral services will be held Sept. 19, 10 a.m., at First Presbyterian Church, Hallock, Minn.  Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Hallock, Minn.
Pastor Marjorie Landwer, presiding; Kristi Morrison, organist and LeAnn Gatheridge, soloist. Honorary pallbearers will be Frances Anderson, Joyce Berg, Joan Craigmile, Marjorie Johnson, Gladyce Lang, Lois Lindegard, Elaine Nordling and Muriel Younggren.
Pallbearers will be Jonathan Moe, Larry Nelson, Steve Blomquist, Pat Bedard, Bill Dahl, and Duane Waller. 
Visitation will be held Tuesday, Sept. 17, 6-8 p.m. at the Austin-Hughes Funeral Chapel in Hallock with a prayer service at 7 p.m.
The Austin Funeral Home of Hallock is in charge of arrangements.

So sorry to hear of Kay's passing. Our sympathy and prayers. What a caring, kind woman who was proud of her family! She was a dear friend to many! God's comfort onto all of you.... Big Hugs from us!
