BRYDEN SWENSON, Kittson Central Senior, pitched the winning game against Fosston for the Kittson County Central Bearcats. Swenson pitched seven innings giving up 1 run and 6 hits while striking out seven.
The Kittson County Central Bearcat baseball team defeated Fosston Thursday, May 11, with a score of 2-1.
The game was tied at one with the Bearcats batting in the bottom of the fifth when Jadyn Swenson singled off of Jesse Sather, driving in one run.
The pitching was strong on both sides. Bryden Swenson struck out seven, while Jesse Sather for Fosston struck out eight.
The Bearcats took an early lead in the first inning when J. Swenson grounded out, scoring one run.
In the top of the second inning, Fosston tied things up at one when Cole Olson had a home run.
B. Swenson earned the win for KCC, pitching seven innings, surrendering one run, six hits, striking out seven, and walking zero. Sather took the loss for Fosston pitching six innings, surrendering two runs, six hits, and striking out eight.
Dawson Busse led the Bearcats with two hits in three at bats. KCC didn’t commit a single error in the field. J. Swenson had nine chances in the field, the most on the team.
