KCC Bearcat baseball team loses to Sacred Heart, 1-7

     The Kittson County Central Bearcats baseball team fell behind early and couldn’t come back ,in a 1-7 loss to Sacred Heart May 3.
     The Bearcats struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Sacred Heart, giving up seven runs.
Sacred Heart got on the board in the first inning when Oscar Ortiz doubled on a 1-2 count, scoring three runs.
     Sacred Heart scored three runs in the fourth inning. The offensive onslaught by Sacred Heart was led by Cullen Rohrich and Evan Sczpanski, who each had RBIs in the inning.
Brenden Bethke earned the win for Sacred Heart. He allowed five hits and one run over six innings, striking out eight. Ortiz threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
     Jadyn Swenson took the loss for KCC. He surrendered six runs on two hits over four innings, striking out seven.
     Zach Johnson went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead the  Bearcats in hits.
