Dancing Sky awards grants to local entities to offset COVID costs

     As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to impact nonprofits and small businesses, many are seeking assistance through grant applications.
     Two entities that support seniors in Kittson County have found relief through the Dancing Sky Area Agency On Aging. The Hallock Area Senior Citizens Center and Karlstad Korner each applied for and received grants, which have alleviated some of the strain due to loss of income.
     Danica Robson, development supervisor for Dancing Sky, said the agency itself applied for and received a $100,000 grant from the Minnesota Council on Foundations. The grant funds are, in turn, being doled out in increments up to $10,000.
