Valley Vision Clinic in Hallock will welcome a new optometrist starting Wednesday, April 21.
Dr. Kristin Atwood is a 2018 graduate of the University of Missouri-St. Louis College of Optometry.
She is a native of Borup, Minn., and earned her bachelor’s degree in biology from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minn.
Atwood is a member of the American Optometric Association as well as the Minnesota and North Dakota optometric associations. She enjoys caring for patients of all ages and has a special interest in pediatrics, ocular disease and contact lenses.
“My approach to patient care is treating each of my patients like they are family. I strive for each of my patients to leave an appointment feeling like they were listened to and cared for as an individual,” she said.
Her family recently moved to the Grafton area from Jamestown, N.D., where Atwood practiced for several years. She is excited to be closer to family in Grafton and looking forward to becoming involved in Hallock and the surrounding communities. She and her husband, Bill, have two young children, Sophie and Ellie. In her free time, she enjoys spending time at the lake, reading, gardening and playing with her girls.
Atwood is currently accepting new patients and looks forward to meeting the Hallock community.
