The Board of Education of #2171 met in regular session May 26, 2021 at 8:00 p.m. in the Kittson Central board room. Members present were Teal Plaine, Crisa Mortenson, Mike Olsonawski, Eric Ristad, Matt Kuznia and Mark Johnson. Also present were Superintendent Jaszczak, Jami Carr, Corinne Lipinski, Randy Weberg, Anna Jahoula and Stephanie Hanson.
The meeting was called to order by Ristad. The agenda was approved by Mortenson, seconded by Kuznia. Motion carried. Minutes from April 28th, 2021 were presented. Motion to accept minutes by Olsonawski, second by Mortenson. Motion carried. The bills having been audited and found correct were ordered to be paid. Post payment bills (hand payables) were approved for $11,255.53. Prepayment bills of $68,570.77. Activity Fund Balance of $123,693.79. Payroll Electronic Fund Transfers in the amount of $166,153.16, Payroll Checks in the amount of $5,076.84. Donations of $346.80.

on a motion to approve by Olsonawski, seconded by Plaine. Motion carried.
Mrs. Carr talked about the spring sports wrapping up with some playoffs for baseball next week and sections for golf, and sub sections for golf.
A recommendation to approve the resignation of assistant cook Roxanne Ogorek was presented. She is retiring. Motion to approve Plaine, second Kuznia. Motion carried.
A recommendation to approve the contracts of the Confidential Employees Amanda Younggren and Judy Shuck. Motion to approve Mortenson, second Olsonawski. Motion carried
A recommendation to approve the Pandemic Compensation plan for staff members as presented. Motion to approve Kuznia, second Mortenson. Johnson and Ristad abstained. Motion carried.
A recommendation to approve the distribution of excess funds from the Class of 2021 as presented. Motion to approve Olsonawski, second Plaine. Motion carried.
A motion to approve the certification of the Class of 2021 was presented. Motion to approve Mortenson, second Plaine. Motion carried.
Superintendent Jaszczak talked about graduation looking more normal again and there being a parade after the ceremony organized by the parents. The Enbridge Settlement could end up costing the district some money. The parking lot project is set to be started in July.
Next board meeting is June 17th at 8pm
