KITTSON COUNTY BOARD PROCEEDINGS
January 18, 2022

The Kittson County Board of Commissioners met, pursuant to adjournment on January 18, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. Commissioner Johnson attending via video and Commissioner Gillie being absent.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Younggren. The pledge to the flag was given.
A motion was made by Commissioner Johnson, seconded by Commissioner Olson and unanimously carried to approve the agenda with the tabling of item 7 County Assessor Report to February 1, 2022 meeting.
A motion was made by Commissioner Kraulik, seconded by Commissioner Olson and unanimously carried to approve the Board minutes from December 29, 2021.
A motion was made by Commissioner Olson, seconded by Commissioner Johnson and unanimously carried to approve the Board minutes from January 4, 2022 meeting.
A motion was made by Commissioner Johnson, seconded by Commissioner Kraulik and unanimously carried to approve the Bills and reimbursements. A complete listing can be viewed in the financial office. Consensus to forward Highway Bills to Commissioners which will be formally approved at the next Board meeting.

A motion was made by Commissioner Kraulik, seconded by Commissioner Olson and unanimously carried to approve the Per Diems and Expense Sheets.
Administrator Buhmann opened the three bids received for renting county owned land.

A motion was made by Commissioner Olson, seconded by Commissioner Johnson and unanimously carried to approve the bids submitted for leasing the county owned properties as presented.
A motion was made by Commissioner Johnson, seconded by Commissioner Kraulik and unanimously carried to approve the Delegate Agreement with the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources for the Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) Prevention Inspection of Water-related Equipment.
A motion was made by Commissioner Johnson, seconded by Commissioner Olson and unanimously carried to purchase election equipment and to be paid through the Help Americans Vote Act (HAVA) Funding.
County Administrator Buhmann presented a letter from the Minnesota Red River Valley Development Association requesting the re-appointment of Gary Johnson to its Board of Directors. Commissioner Olson motioned, seconded by Commissioner Kraulik and unanimously carried to appoint Johnson to the Minnesota Red River Valley Development Association.
Administrator Buhmann presented information to the Board on the County and State Ditches which currently have a shortage and or a loan on them.

A motion was made by Commissioner Johnson, seconded by Commissioner Olson and unanimously approved to approve the Year-end transfers to the General Revenue account.
Motion was made by Commissioner Olson, seconded by Commissioner Kraulik and unanimously carried to adjourn at 9:33 a.m.
