By Dylan Johnson
Due to weather delays, the Bearcat hockey team only had one game last week.
On Saturday, Jan. 22, they played MayPort in Hallock. The Bearcats beat the Ice Dawgs once at the beginning of the season with a score of 5-3.
Going into the first period of the game, it was a very even match-up, leading there to be no scoring in the period. MayPort started off the second period with the first goal of the game. The Bearcats soon answered back with a power-play goal. This goal was scored by Izyk Strege, assisted by Landon Sugden and Tyler Hennen.
The second period ended with a score of 1-1.
Right at the beginning of the third period, the Bearcats added another goal, scored by Sugden and assisted by Hennen to take the lead in the game.
