Glen Ray Winter, 76

Glen Ray Winter, 76, died surrounded by family at Mount Vista Hospital in Mesa, Ariz., on Dec. 13, 2021.
He was born on Sept. 11, 1945, in Grand Forks, N.D., to Raymond and Stella (DeMaine) Winter. The family moved to Hallock, Minn., where Glen grew up and later farmed the family land. Glen met Judy (Bruzelius) on a trip to Fargo, N.D., and they married on Sept. 11, 1965. Glen and Judy lived on the family farm until 1969 when the family moved to Fargo.
In his heart he was always a farmer, but he was also a businessman and started many businesses throughout his life. His most recent being Pro-Pallet with his children. Glen was old school when it came to business in the fact that face-to-face meetings were the only way to do business and each one of his desks had a filo-fax for the contact numbers/ business cards and a large printing calculator.
Glen was a champion of the underdog and would offer help to those he saw in need. He also loved his family and cherished is RV trips with his wife and granddaughters.
He is survived by: his wife of 56 years, Judith (Bruzelius); daughters, Kari (Greg) Nelson, Karla Winter, Katie (Jerry) Schatzke; son, Raymond Winter; grandchildren, Erica Nelson, Ashley Nelson, Hope Schatzke, Michael Schatzke, Faith Schatzke; and six greatgrandchildren; sister, Judy (Leonard) Iten; and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; brothers, Charles Winter and Duane Winter; and son, Nicholas Tykwinski.
