Alumni Hockey Golf Tourney brings 80 golfers to Hallock
The third annual Alumni Hockey Golf Tournament raised more than $5,500 to help the Senior Hockey group support Hallock Youth Hockey and the Hallock Ice Arena.
On Friday, July 22, 19 teams and 80 golfers converged upon the Two River Golf Course in Hallock to play it out for first place in three flights and for several door prizes, and big prizes.
The following are the top two teams from each flight, their total scores and what they won:
First Flight: 1st place — Hayden Hennen, Robert Carr, Dalton Klegstad and Nate Kennedy, 55, four boxes of Pro V1s; 2nd place — Levi Pearson, Robert Ryden, Nick Kennedy and Blair Younggren, 57, four boxes of Callaway balls.
Second Flight: 1st place — Ben Sugden, Josh Rynning, Gunnar Olson and Trent Peterson, 65, four Bluetooth speakers from Crop Insurance Associates; 2nd place — Jeff Backous, Scott Younggren, Nathan Sugden, Jerry Backous, Erik Lindegard, 65, one sleeve of Callaway golf balls and hat.
Third Flight: 1st place — Ryan Evenson, Austin Ricklefs, Jake Hook and Lindsey Evenson, 71, sleeve of Chaos golf balls; 2nd place — Justin Turner, Jameson Turner, Kevin Balstad and Brandon Johnson, 72, sleeve of Chaos golf balls.
The golfers also competed for men’s and women’s longest drives, longest putts and closest to pin.
Nate Kennedy took the men’s longest drive, Nick Lindegard took the men’s longest putt and Erik Lindegard took the men’s closest to pin. They each received BC choppers and a $25 gift card to Scheel’s.
Leah Muir took the women’s longest drive and received a $50 gift card to Nineteen Forty Eight. Kristin Vig took the women’s longest putt and received a $50 gift card to Vigorous Living. Lindsay Lindgren took the women’s closest to pin and received a $50 gift card to J. Lily Boutique.
