Ross Erling Anderson, 48, of Humboldt, Minn., passed away peacefully on Thursday, Jan. 5, 2023, at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, N.D., with his wife, Nancy, and sister, Becky, by his side.
Ross was born to Malcolm and Lillian Anderson in Fosston, Minn., on Jan. 23, 1974. He grew up in Clearbrook, Minn., with his three siblings. Ross graduated from Clearbrook-Gonvick High School in 1992. Ross married Sue Berdaul in 2005. He moved to Warroad, Minn., and started working for Marvin Windows in their maintenance department. After leaving Marvin’s, Ross worked in the oil fields of North Dakota for a short time. He also worked various jobs before starting at CHS in 2018. Ross settled in Humboldt and worked at the CHS location there. On July 20, 2019, he married the love of his life, Nancy Blumer.
Ross was a member of Humboldt United Methodist Church. He enjoyed fishing (not even a frozen lake could keep him from enjoying that), hunting and loved camping with his wife and fur babies. He truly enjoyed the time he spent on Eagle Lake near Battle Lake, Minn., in the summertime.
Ross will be dearly missed by: his wife, Nancy; his fur babies, Jax and Cosmo; sisters, Rebecca Sundquist and Rachel (Keith) Marty; a brother, Russell (Mark) Eggert; his in-laws, Claude and Margaret Blumer; a sister-in-law, Michelle (Pat) O’Loughlin; aunts, Shirley Smith and Charlotte Borseth; an uncle, Keith (Glow) Bechard; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Malcolm and Lillian; an infant brother; step-father, Harlan Riggs; his grandparents; uncles, Erling, Kenneth, Johnnie and Gene; aunts; and a sister-in-law, Deborah Jean Blumer.
Services are scheduled for Friday, Jan. 20, 2023, at 1 p.m. in Humboldt United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service. Austin Funeral Chapel, Hallock, is in charge of arrangements. www.austinfuneralchapel.com.
