Bearcats hockey defeats Eagles, B/W Blades in home games

On Tuesday, Jan. 10, the Bearcats started another week of hockey with a home game against the Red Lake Falls Eagles.
The Bearcats previously beat the Eagles in an overtime win, so they went into this game knowing it could be a close match-up.
The first period was the start of a fast-paced game. Hayden Olsonawski scored the only goal of the period for the Bearcats, with assists going to Isaac Gustafson and Tyler Hennen. The Eagles went on to start off the second period with a goal. But, Hennen quickly scored 2 goals to end the period with a score of 3-1. One goal was unassisted, while the other was assisted by Olsonawski and Eli Muir.
The third period started off fast once again. The Eagles went on to score the first goal a few minutes in, but Olsonawski soon answered back with an unassisted goal. When the Eagles went on to score yet another goal, Olsonawski scored another unassisted goal, to win the game for the Bearcats, with a score of 5-3. Jameson Turner had 24 saves for the night.

On Friday, Jan. 13, the Bearcats played the Breckenridge/Wahpeton Blades. The Blades started out the game with a goal 11 minutes into the game. Then, the Bearcats quickly scored 2 unassisted goals to take the lead. They were scored by Ethan Hanson and Tyler Hennen.
Hennen scored another goal to end the period with a three-goal lead, assisted by Hayden Olsonawski and Hennen.
Isabelle Pedraza started out the second period with a goal assisted by Morgan Muir and Elijah Swanson. The Bearcats scored 4 more goals while the Blades scored only 1 more. The 4 Bearcats goals were scored by Hanson, Gavin Johnson, Hennen and Olsonawski. The Blades scored their third and final goal in the third period.
The Bearcats scored 2 more goals to end the match 10-3. The first in the period was scored by Noah Olson, assisted by Hennen. The last goal of the night was scored by Dana Brown, assisted by Eli Muir and Isaac Gustafson. Isaac Lindegard had 15 saves for the game.
