Bradley Tusow, 70
Bradley Chester Tusow, 70, of International Falls, Minn., passed away peacefully on April 19, 2023, at home in International Falls, under the care of Fairview Hospice.
Brad was born July 21, 1952, in Britton, S.D., the son of the late Dale R. and Donna E. Tusow. He was a 1970 graduate of International Falls High School. Shortly after graduating, he ventured to Alaska to work on the construction of the Trans Alaskan Pipeline Project. Upon completion of the pipeline project, he became a proud member of the Laborers’ International Union of North America. Local 341. He spent his career working on various union projects throughout Alaska and Minnesota. Prior to his retirement in 2017, he was a drill pipe inspector for TuboScope, Inc., in the oil fields of the North Slope of Alaska.
Brad’s passion was the outdoors. No matter where he was, he loved hunting, fishing, downhill skiing and golfing with friends. Along, with enjoying these activities, he had a neverending list of stories of the places and people he had encountered throughout his life. He had an entertaining gift of painting a picture with his storytelling. Brad enjoyed mentoring young people, getting them involved in hunting and fishing. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, compassion and kindness.
Brad is survived by: his son, Mitchell Vancamp (Ruth Gripentrog) Grand Forks, N.D.; stepdaughter, Janell (Dave) Herges; grandson, Huxley Herges, International Falls; step-son, Dylan Ice (Camille), Duluth; siblings, Linda (Ray) Lutovsky, Grafton N.D., Terry Tusow, Jamestown, N.D., Bruce Tusow, Hitterdal, Minn., and Bryan Tusow, Perham, Minn.; and special friend, Renee Peterson and family International Falls; nephews, Daniel Lutovsky, Joseph Lutovsky (Bethany), Jacob Lutovsky (Colleen), and Dawson Tusow; nieces, Natalie Tusow and Norah Tusow.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dale and Donna Tusow; and sister, Nola Tusow
Memorials are not expected or necessary. If desired, the family would like them given to the Hallock Youth Hockey Association.
Interment will be at the Grafton City Cemetery alongside his mother, father and sister.
A Celebration of Life is being planned to honor Brad’s life on Friday, July 21 from 1 to 5 p.m. at the home of Bryan Tusow, 37861 County Hwy 34, Perham, Minn.
