NOTICE OF HEARING ON THE
PETITION FOR IMPOUNDING WATER
ON STATE DITCH #50
KITTSON COUNTY, MINNESOTA
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on August 3, 2023, at 8:00 o’clock a.m. in the upstairs meeting room in the Kittson County Courthouse in Hallock, Minnesota, a public hearing will be held in accordance with MN Statute § 103E.227 with regard to a pending Petition which was filed with the Board of Managers of the Two Rivers Watershed District requesting the impoundment of water on State Ditch #50 located in Kittson County, Minnesota.
That said Petition requests to impound water along the upper 3 miles of State Ditch 50 in sections 10, 11, & 12 of Klondike Township, Kittson County, MN. The purpose of the project is temporarily store flood water to reduce flood damages, provide a drainage outlet, and benefit natural resources.
The engineer’s report and findings concerning the project has been filed with the Board of Managers. Said report is available for inspection at the office of the Two Rivers Watershed District at 410 South 5th Street, Suite 112 in Hallock, Minnesota.
All parties interested in the proposed project or who are affected by said project are invited to appear before the Board of Managers at such time and place and present their objections, if any, why an Order should not be made by the Board of Managers of the Two Rivers Watershed District granting the Petition for the impoundment of water on SD 50, located in Kittson County, Minnesota.
The following is a general list of lands that appear to be affected by these proceedings: ROSEAU COUNTY – All or part of sections 5, 6, 7, 8, 17, 18, 19 & 20 of Polonia Township.
KITTSON COUNTY – All or part of sections 1 through 24 of Klondike Township.
