Harold Haugstad, 85

Harold Roger Haugstad, 85, Hallock, Minn., peacefully passed away Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2023.
Harold was born on Aug. 4, 1938, to Caroline and Harry Haugstad. He was baptized in the Lutheran faith, went to school and graduated from Hallock High School.
Harold married his high school sweetheart, Corinne Pearson, July 12, 1957.
Harold farmed much of his life, he was a fixture at the Hallock Arena sharpening skates, driving Zamboni, and doing various jobs. He also drove bus for hockey trips and coached kids’ hockey, as well as drove bus for the Hallock school district for many years.
In his later years he enjoyed coffee and visiting with friends
He is survived by: his sister, Helen Restemayer; children, Danny (Dee Verle) Haugstad, Connie Rekuski, Laurie (Jon) Fowler, Scott (Erin) Haugstad, Mark (Karen) Peterson, and Penny (Dennis) Scholler; grandkids, Darrick Haugstad, Dustyn (Courtney) Haugstad, Donavan (Allison) Haugstad, Samantha Rekuski, Dylan Fowler, Dustin (Kate) Fowler, Karissa (Jeremy) Grube, Ryan Haugstad, Kyle Haugstad, Nikki (Dan) McCauley, Amanda (Andrew) LaDouceur, Sean Scholler, Brett (Miranda) Scholler, Whitney Scholler and Brent’s four children; great-grandkids, Kasen, Espen, Zayne, Conner, Oaklynn, Liv, Louise, Veda, Lennon, Freya, Walter, George, Jaya, Karsyn, Ruthie, Myla, Koa, Easton, Kinzee, Paityn; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and other loved ones.
He is preceded in death by: his wife, Corinne; son, Brent; parents, Caroline and Harry; sister, Muriel; brother, Norman; and brothers-in-law, Earl, Gordon and Larry.
Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2023, at 11 a.m. in Grace Lutheran Church, Hallock. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Hallock. Visitation will be held at the church for one hour prior to the service.
