Gary Lee Pearson, 86

Gary Lee Pearson, 86, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2023, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, Minn., with his wife, Char, by his side.
He was born to Lottie and Otto Pearson in 1937 in Hallock, Minn. He had six siblings: Mark, Kermit, Aileen, Kay, Beatrice, Alan. He graduated from Hallock High School in 1955.
Gary held a variety of interesting jobs during his lifetime, including: snackbar owner in Hallock; wheelman where he steered iron ore/cargo ships into docks on the Great Lakes; designed/manufactured motorcycle parts; adviser/ consultant/designer for Ace Elevator Co.; and a senior engineer at Data Card in Minneapolis.
He is survived by: his wife, Char; his daughters, Vickie (Rob) Profeta and Cheryl (Jack) Olive; a grandson, Jack Lee; and siblings, Aileen (Bill), Beatrice and Alan (Donna).
He was preceded in death by: his mother and father; siblings, Mark, Kermit and Kay.
Gary’s life and legacy was memorialized by his loving family and friends at a service in North Branch, Minn., on Saturday, Sept. 9, 2023.
Interment will be in Union Liberty Cemetery, rural Hallock, at a later date.
