There was discussion held about updating the Cell Phone Policy and if there were any ideas how to get the students to be less focused on their device and more person to person contact.
Superintendent Jaszczak talked about Grandparents day which is Friday. He was going to be gone, but Mr. Lehrke would be taking care of the grilling this year. Along with that we are trying a new process with lunch and running it alphabetically vs. just high school with elementary next. The bike parade was yesterday and there were 50-60 kids in attendance. Community Service Day is typically the Wednesday before Education Association weekend, but there is a football game out of town that day, so that won’t work out and other days around this date have conflicts as well. There may not be an opportunity to get it in. There are some legislature policies allowing for school boards to renew referendums without having to have a public vote. There would be public meetings to allow for input. There will be more discussion on this at a later time. He is on vacation for a few days starting tomorrow but can be reached by phone if needed.
Next meeting is October 25th, 2023 at 8:00 p.m.
Motion to adjourn by Mortenson second Pinnock. Motion carried.
