NOTICE OF HEARING ON THE
IMPROVEMENT OF KITTSON COUNTY DITCH #7
IN KITTSON COUNTY, MINNESOTA

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on November 6, 2025, at 8:00 o’clock a.m. at the Kennedy Café Meeting Room located at 518 Atlantic Avenue Kennedy, Minnesota, a public hearing will be continued regarding a pending action of the Board of Managers of the Two Rivers Watershed District on the petition for improvement of Kittson County Ditch #7 located in Kittson County, Minnesota. This will be the re-convening of the public hearing that was held on September 22, 2025, which was recessed by the Board of Managers. At this hearing, the Board will consider all reports, exhibits, and testimony that has been received and consider their decision regarding the petition.
That said petition requests the improvement of the Kittson County Ditch #7, affecting parts of Springbrook, Davis, Svea, Teien and South Red River Townships in Kittson County, MN. The purpose of the project is to improve drainage along 4.7 miles of the ditch, eliminate flat sections, and improve ditch capacity.
The Viewer’s report and the Engineer’s Final Survey Report have been filed with the Board of Managers. Said petition and reports are available for inspection at the office of the Two Rivers Watershed District at 410 South 5th Street, Suite 112 in Hallock, Minnesota and are also available online at: https://tworiverswd.com/KCD7.html.
Verbal testimony for this matter has been closed, however written comments may be mailed to or dropped off at the Two Rivers Watershed District office, located at 410 S. 5th Street, Suite 112, Hallock, MN 56728, until 4:00 p.m. on October 29, 2025. Written comments must be legible, signed, and have a return address.
The following is a general list of lands that appear to be affected by these proceedings: KITTSON COUNTY, MN – All or parts of sections 14 through 21, and section 30 of Springbrook Township; All or parts of sections 13 through 29 & sections 33-34 of Davis Township; All or parts of sections 13 through 24 of Svea Township; All or parts of sections 1, 12, & 13 of Teien Township; The east ½ of section 35 of South Red River Township.
