December 19, 2018
The Board of Education of #2171 met in regular session December 19, 2018 at 8:00 p.m. in the Kittson Central boardroom. Members present were Mike Sugden, Crisa Mortenson, Mike Olsonawski, Katie Langen, Eric Ristad and Mark Johnson. Also present were Superintendent Jaszczak, Jami Carr, Mark Christenson, Kayla Hanson, Amanda Pinnock, Margie Holmgren and Stephanie Hanson.
The meeting was called to order by Sugden. The agenda was approved by Johnson, seconded by Mortenson. Motion carried. Minutes from November 28, 2018 were presented. Motion to accept minutes by Ristad, second by Olsonawski. Motion carried. The bills having been audited and found correct were ordered to be paid. Post payment bills (hand payables) were approved for $3,344.17. Prepayment bills for $52,622.63. Payroll Electronic Fund Transfers in the amount of $221,589.58, Payroll Checks in the amount of $41,765.18. Donations of $550.00.

on a motion to approve by Kuznia, second by Langen. Motion carried.
There were no reports from meetings held and no patrons were present for the Truth and Taxation Public Hearing. The Revised Budget of Revenue for FY19 was approved with the knowledge that things will change when it’s revisited in February.

Motion Mortenson, Second Langen to approve the Final Certification of the 2018 Payable 2019 Tax Levy. The final levy amount for certification will be $1,335,569.97. Motion carried.
Superintendent Jaszczak talked about the new front door project being complete. Lock schedule to be determined. Busy week before break with BBB game the next day and a junior class supper during the game. School will be let out early to allow for people to attend Marlyce Peterson’s funeral. Elementary reading challenge movie/pizza party is tomorrow for all those who completed the challenge. He is working on staffing needs for next year with retirements and splitting the kindergarten class. Thank you to Katie Langen for her eight years of service on the school board.
Next meeting is January 23rd at 8pm.
