For many youth involved in 4-H, project judging begins two weeks before the official start of the county fair. On June 30, Kittson County’s 4-H held food revue, demonstrations, and livestock interview judging at the courthouse in Hallock. The following day, July 1, fashion revue and performing arts were held at the Kittson Central Auditorium.
During the judging, youth present and explain their exhibits to judges, who evaluate the quality of the exhibit and the knowledge the 4-Her has on the exhibit and the process of creating it.
All other static project areas will be judged Wednesday, July 16, at the county fairgrounds and displayed in the 4-H building for the remainder of the fair.
