Legislative news is now available on KCE website
By Anna Jauhola
As the Minnesota Legislative session continues, the Enterprise is striving to bring you that news in a more consistent manner.
In conjunction with the House Public Information Service, we have been printing as many articles as we can when space provides. To bring you more of those, we have added a Legislature tab on the homepage of our website, kittsonarea.com.
At the top of the homepage is a set of black tabs. To see stories from the House Public Information Service, you can click on “Legislature.” Each story contains links to various topics associated with the article’s content.
As this week is Sunshine Week, it was only fitting to begin bringing more stories about your state government to you.
While we attempt to get legislative stories printed in the paper as often as we can, we do not always have room as local content takes priority.
So please, take a minute to look at the Legislature tab on kittsonarea.com and peruse the articles we’ve picked out. If you’re looking for more information, click the links that will take you directly to the House Legislative page where you can explore more topics of interest happening during the Minnesota Legislative session.
One topic of grumbling interest each year is printed on this very page. The article, “Ditch the Switch” is about a bill introduced for Minnesota to do away with Daylight Saving Time. It would be interesting to hear local opinions on that possible change!
Take a minute also this week to look at pages 4 and 5 and learn more about Sunshine Week. This week is dedicated to shining a light on government transparency. There are some excellent columns on those pages that share clearly the importance of open meetings, access to public records and more.
As always, we appreciate you – our readers, advertisers and contributors – for helping us bring you local news, area news and state news consistently and openly.
