Sale of tractor will allow for purchase of loader attachments

By Anna Jauhola
The Lake Bronson City Council will be looking at purchasing attachments for the city’s loader to make it more multi-purpose. During the regular meeting on Monday, April 20, Mayor Bobby Schmiedeberg told the council the city’s New Holland tractor sold for $38,500.
“Aaron bought it. He tell you that?” Schmiedeberg asked Councilor Tatum Carlson.
“He did not,” she replied.
With that sale, Schmiedeberg said he will look into the costs of a mower attachment, new forks for loading, and a sweeper with a bucket. A sweeper attachment would allow the city to clean up the streets, curbs and other areas before and after major events, like BronsonFest. The attachment with a bucket behind it would make for easier cleanup, Schmiedeberg said.
He also suggested the city could revamp the motor grader by taking off the back tires and hook it to the loader to push it, rather than pull it.
