Two River Church gets new roof

THE TWO RIVER CHURCH at the Kittson County History Center/Museum in Lake Bronson has new cedar shingles. Alan Olson Roofing, Baudette, finished placing the shingles on Oct. 30. Cindy Adams, museum curator, said the full project cost was $24,000. The museum raised $8,000 toward the project and covered the rest of the cost with donations set aside from other donors specifically for special maintenance projects. The shingles are a bright addition to the church right now, but will fade to a gray color over the next couple of years, Adams said. “We will always accept donations toward the church because the steeple needs work, too,” Adams added. Alan Olson Roofing also put asphalt shingles on the Depot roof. Now, this summer, Adams said the goal is to paint a few outbuildings, including the church and the Hill Paymasters Building.                  (Enterprise Photo by Anna Jauhola)
