The Bearcat Girls Golf team has finished regular season play on the upswing.
The last Border Conference meet was held in Roseau on Thursday, May 16 and the girls finally began to see their work in practices coming together on the course.
In the meets prior to this, the team struggled to find consistency in their games and making their mark competitively had been elusive. However, in this last regular season play they all posted the best score of their season both as individuals and as a team.
Although they finished toward the bottom of the team scores, they were only 7 strokes out of finishing fourth in the field. This was a marked improvement over their team scores earlier in the season.
Kasey Waling finished 9th overall for the day and only 4 strokes behind the medalist. Other Bearcat scores were Saydi Olsonawaki, 110; Kealy Preble, 116; Ellie Bernstrom, 119; Kaia Gunnarson, 135.
The Bearcat teams will return to Roseau for Subsection play on Tuesday, May 21.
