Hallock Area Commmunity Fund releases spring grants

The Hallock Area Community fund announced the spring grant awards on Monday, May 5. There were four jurisdictionally eligible grant applications received with requests totalling $16,263.57.
A total of $11,000 was granted to the applicants for various projects within the community including:
• Kittson County Ag Society – $5,000 for 4H display building at fairgrounds, roof repairs.
• Learning Tree Day Care Center, Hallock – $5,000 for upgrades to preschool furnishings.
• Perry’s Paws Cat Rescue, Kennedy – $500 for sewer repair work.
• BIO Girls, Hallock – $500 for 2025 local program, self-esteem building.
“We are excited to be able to assist these non profit organizations with their needs that greatly provide services to our community,” said Betty Younggren, Hallock Community Fund member. “We look forward to seeing how the grant dollars will impact and benefit our community.”
