Kittson Central fifth and sixth grades visit state park, museum

On Thursday, Oct. 2, Kittson Central fifth and sixth grade classes had the opportunity to venture to Lake Bronson for a field trip.
The classes met with Minnesota Historical Society Archaeologist Jennifer Rankin and explored the lake bed at Lake Bronson State Park. Students were able to participate in an archaeological survey and find artifacts that will be studied in later months.
While in Lake Bronson, the students also were able to go to the Kittson County Museum and learn more about Kittson County history. It was a fun-filled day full of exploration.

Cousins Caroline Diamond and Blake Sobolik show off the artifact they discovered together at the Lake Bronson lakebed.
