No bids lead to Task Order nod by Kennedy Council

By Anna Jauhola
The Kennedy City Council approved a task order for the city’s water project during its regular meeting on Monday, March 9.
Task Order No. 3 came from Bollig Engineering to assist the city in applying for funding and administering that funding for the water project. The cost of the services is $5,000.
“They have Laura, who is their financial specialist, and she kind of leads us through all the financials, getting us any type of funding,” said Clerk Melissa Woinarowicz. “If you want to have Laura kind of start working with the city on all of this stuff, the cost is in your packet.”
The $5,000 is a lump sum for Bollig to begin applying for additional funding for the project.
The council had to discuss Task Order No. 3 because the city received no bids for the water project when it was first advertised in February.
The city has since advertised for bids again and those bids will be opened on Wednesday, March 18 in Fargo at Bollig’s office at 2 p.m. Woinarowicz will join Bollig remotely for the bid opening to see if the bids come in favorably to the water project.
