Construction season begins, Hallock roads will be busy

By Anna Jauhola
Construction crews are back in Hallock to start completion of the final phase of the Hallock Street Project. Zach Thoma, of Moore Engineering, spoke with the Hallock City Council during its regular meeting on Monday, May 4 – only Mayor Dave Treumer and councilors Jen Peterson and Kevin Waller were present.
“As you guys have probably noticed, we’ve got contractors in town doing a little bit of cleanup work and concrete guys are in town forming some stuff up,” Thoma said. “The main focus this week is going to be getting the topsoil and everything spread, and then just clean up and getting concrete poured where we can.”
The current schedule calls for the crews to begin laying the second lift of pavement on Monday, May 18.
