Council continues to look at purchasing equipment

By Anna Jauhola
During the regular meeting on Monday, June 15, the Lake Bronson City Council discussed numbers for purchasing new city equipment.
Mayor Bobby Schmiede-berg said the city could get a 78-inch mower attachment for $7,944, an 84-inch sweeper attachment for $9,656 and a 90-inch grader for $10,220.
Earlier this spring, the city sold a tractor for $$36,785. This money was set aside to pay for updated equipment.
Although the council further discussed the need for these items, and agree they should be purchased, they did not approve the purchases during the meeting. They will further discuss the issue during a budget meeting on June 22.
