Kenneth (Kenny) Gryskiewicz, 68

Kenneth (Kenny) Gryskiewicz, 68, of Lancaster, Minn., passed away on Monday, Sept. 23, 2024. He was the beloved husband of Annette Knutson.
Kenny was born on March 26, 1956, to Roman and Mary Ann (Lasniewski) Gryskiewicz. He was raised in Greenbush, Minn., and graduated from Greenbush High School in 1974. After graduation, he entered the Army. After serving his country, Kenny returned home to work on the family farm. As a way to contribute to his community, he served on the elevator board and groomed snowmobile trails for Roseau County. In 1998, Kenny moved to Lancaster and, over the years, he worked at Hanson Manufacturing, the dairy barn and Orleans Grain.
Kenny had two children, Daniel and Ashley, and in 2003, he was united in marriage to Annette Knutson. The two have resided together in Lancaster ever since.
Kenneth is survived by: his wife, Annette; his son, Daniel (Beth) Gryskiewicz of Pierz, Minn.; his daughter, Ashley (Shawn) Walsh of Greenbush; and his seven grandchildren: Charley, Halle, Matthew, Miley, Sadie, Keiran and Atlee. He is also survived by his four sisters: Veronica Novacek of Greenbush, Cynthia (James) Efta of Clearwater, Minn., Kay Hokanson of Richmond, Minn., and Marty (Russell) Barrett of Roseau, Minn.
Kenneth was preceded in death by: his parents, Roman Gryskiewicz and Mary Ann Lasniewski; his son, Matthew; his granddaughter, Livi; and his brother, Virgil.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, Oct. 1 at 11 a.m. at Sion Lutheran Church in Lancaster. Visitation was held for an hour before the service in the church. Interment will be in Riverview Memorial Gardens, Lancaster. Military honors will be accorded by the Lancaster American Legion and the Minnesota National Guard.
