Antoinette (Toni) Kukowski, 86

Antoinette (Toni) Kukowski passed away peacefully on Friday, May 8, 2026, surrounded by her loving family at North Oaks Memory Care facility in the Twin Cities.
Toni was born in Hallock, Minn., on March 12, 1940, to John Sr. and Lena Bordeniuk of St. Vincent, Minn. She attended elementary school in St. Vincent, and later graduated from high school in Humboldt, Minn. Toni married Carman Waller in 1961 in Pembina, N.D. They resided in Hallock and had three children, Kevin, Kelly and Kent. Carman Waller passed away unexpectedly in March of 1991. Toni married Andrew Kukowski in 1998 in Hallock. They resided part time in Hallock and part time in San Tan Valley, Ariz.
Toni spent 14 years working at Northwestern State Bank in Hallock. She then transitioned to the Farmers Home Administra-tion, which later in her career became the Farm Service Agency, and spent 30 years in those agencies until her retirement.
Toni lived a life marked by kindness, quiet strength and unwavering devotion to the people she loved. She was generous, selfless and always put her family first. Toni and her husband, Andy, spent their retirement years dancing in venues all across the country. They were well known for their endless hours of dancing and love of music. Dancing was a joy they shared with everyone who watched them glide around the dance floor.
Toni is survived by: her husband, Andrew; children, Kevin (Cathy) Waller of Hallock, Kelly (Dan) Asper of St. Paul, Minn., and Kent (Kristy) Waller of Seattle, Wash.; and grandchildren, Bradley Waller, Katie Maaninga, Kelsie Torgerson, Courtney Sadler, Justine Anderson and Nick Asper. She also had 8 beautiful great grandchildren. Finally, she is survived by extended family through marriage, and many close friends.
Toni was preceded in death by: her parents, John Sr. and Lena Bordeniuk, and her husband, Carman Waller.
A funeral service honoring Toni’s life was held on Tuesday, May 26 at 11 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church in Hallock. Visitation was held at the church for an hour before the service. Arrangements by Austin Funeral Home, Hallock. www.austinfuneralchapel.com.
