Rosemary Ann (Matthews) Skogen, 84

Rosemary Ann (Matthews) Skogen, 84, of Ham Lake, Minn., passed away Friday, Sept. 5, 2025.
Rosemary was born July 19, 1941, in Hallock, Minn., the daughter of Gordon and Anne (Snare) Matthews. She grew up in Hallock and graduated from high school in 1959. She went on to attend St. Mary’s College of Nursing, where she earned her nursing degree. Over the years, Rosemary dedicated her career to caring for others while working at St. Mary’s Hospital, Unity Hospital and Fridley OBGYN before her retirement.
Following retirement, Rosemary and her husband, Darrell (Skog), moved to their beloved cabin on Lake Minnewawa in McGregor, Minn. Cabin life brought her joy, hosting friends and family, taking boat rides, and enjoying her favorite “Canupor.” More than anything, Rosemary cherished time with her family. She never missed a family member’s activity and loved being part of their lives.
She also enjoyed the fun in life, whether at the casino, playing pull tabs and bingo, traveling, shopping and especially dressing up for Halloween at her favorite bar, Bann’s. Her warm spirit, love for family, and ability to make every gathering special will be remembered always.
She is survived by: her children, Mary (Cal) Scott, Kim Miller (Billy), Scott (Cindy) Skogen, and Holly (Kurt) Struss; grandchildren, Jessica (Tony), Jenny (Kyle), Bobby (Cassie), Jimmy, and Nikky (Grayson); sister and brother-in-law, Karen and Bruce Rhodes; along with 12 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and many good friends.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Anne and Gordon Matthews; parents-in-law, Anna and Bennie Skogen; and sister and brother-in-law, Darlene and Bob Carlson.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m., with a Time of Celebration to follow at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 11, 2025, at Kozlak Radulovich Blaine Chapel at 107th Ave. NE & Hwy 65, Blaine, Minn.
