Jeffrey Thomasson, 61

Jeffrey Thomasson, 61, Hallock, Minn., passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Jan. 29, at his home.
Jeffrey Allen Thomasson was born on Aug. 29, 1964, in St. Louis, Mo., to parents John and Patricia (Mazanec) Thomasson. He grew up in Mountain, N.D., and graduated from Edinburgh High School.
Jeff lived and worked in several areas including Fargo, Warroad, Cavalier and, for the past 15 plus years, in Hallock. Most recently, he had worked at American Crystal Sugar.
Jeff was known as a jack-of-all-trades. He liked cars (especially the Chevrolet Camaro), enjoyed the outdoors and was a huge Vikings fan. He made friends everywhere he went and was loved by many.
Survivors include: two daughters, Nicole (Tyler) Manecke of Fosston, and Kayla Thomasson of Fargo, N.D.; three grandchildren, Addisyn, Harlee and Landon; one sister, Barb (Bradley) Byron of Minneapolis, Minn.; and one brother, Doug Thomasson of Warroad, Minn. Nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John Thomasson, Jr.; and one niece, Ashley Harder.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 27, at the Carlin Funeral Home in Fosston with Pastor Seth Johnson officiating. Family will greet friends for one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.
