Donald Ray Olson, 75

Donald Ray Olson, Andover, Minn., 75, passed away December 15, 2015 at Hennepin County Medical Intensive Care Burn Unit.
Donald was born June 14, 1940, the son of the late Peter and Charlotte (Johnson) Olson, Hallock, Minn.
He attended school in Hallock and went on to work in the Twin Cities. On Sept. 29, 1962, he was united in marriage to Joyce Mathison, Bagley, Minn.
In 1965, he was drafted into the service. He spent 13 months in Korea alone. After he finished service in the Army he worked for Ford Motor Company and after early retirement from Ford he started a business of his own fixing cars.
He loved being with family and attending his grandsons sports and also playing golf and card games.
Surviving are loving wife: Joyce; son, Sean (Suzie) Olson; grandchildren, Nathan and Ryan; brothers, Peter, Karlstad, Minn.; Richard (Carla), Lancaster, Minn., Darrell, San Tan Valley, Ariz.; Harley, Hallock; Michael (Molly), Rockford, Minn. and Robert, Hallock, Minn.; sister, Sherryl (Lowell) Briggs, Maple Grove, Minn.; sister-in-law: Elizabeth Olson, Lancaster; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter, Lynn Marie and brothers, Ronald and James Olson.
Funeral services were held Monday, December 21, 2015 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, East Bethel, Minn. On Tuesday, December 22, 2015, services were held at Cease Funeral Home, Bagley, Minn. with burial at Rice Cemetery, Zerkel, Minn. next to his infant daughter.
Pallbearers were Brent Briggs, Sev Brenny, Jesse Szykulski, Jerry Robideau and Brian Chapman. Honorary pallbearers were Nathan Olson, Ryan Olson, Wyatt Miller, Jordan Sinner and Dylan Staples.
Kozlak-Radulovich Blaine Chapel was in charge of the arrangements.
