June M. Simanton

June M. Simanton, 82, retired lab and x-ray technician, died Saturday, January 16, at the Glasgow Hospital, Glasgow, Mont.
June was born June 1, 1933 in Hallock, Minn., the daughter of Alfred and Frances (Gamble) Walters. After high school, she attended a lab and x-ray technician school in Minneapolis, Minn.
After graduating she accepted a job at the Malta Hospital and Clinic and moved to Malta, Mont., in 1952.
She met Dick Simanton and they were married December 31, 1953 in Great Falls, Mont. They both retired from the hospital in 1995.
They traveled and enjoyed seeing the sites until Dick’s health started to fail. He passed away in 2001. June was a member of the Episcopal Church. Her greatest joys were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
June is survived by her children; Teresa (Roy) Jones, Hinsdale, Mont.; Michael Simanton, Casper, Wyo.; brother, “Punk” Ken Walters, Hallock; grandchildren, Douglas Jones,  Glasgow; Kristie (Derek) Lefdahl, Hinsdale; Adam (Desiree) Simanton, Casper; 8 great-grandchildren, Isabellae, Augustus Jones, Deion, Sloan, Townes Lefdahl, Jordyn, Jace, Jack Simanton; numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services were held at 11 a.m., Friday, January 22, 2016 at the Kirkwood Memorial Chapel in Malta. Interment of her cremated remains will be at a later date.
