Joyce Lofberg, 68
Joyce Lofberg (nee Finney), 68, of Mount Holly, N.J. passed away January 16, 2016. Joyce was originally from Hallock, Minn. She was married to Bryan for 47 years.
Together, they traveled the country through their Air Force career, touching lives in Nebraska, California, Texas, Panama, and Nevada along the way. In 1988, Joyce and Bryan settled in Mount Holly, following Bryan’s retirement as a Major. Through her travels, Joyce gained an affinity for professional sports and was a loyal Lakers fan.
In the Mt. Holly area, Joyce worked for several companies in a secretarial capacity, the latest for Canon Financial in Mount Laurel. She turned her crafting hobby briefly into a small business venture with her good friend, Barbara.
She left her greatest impact on her family and considered her most precious pride in life being a grandmother to Ryan and Natalie. She embodied the nurturing “Grandma” role to many family friends, Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, and soccer players. She will forever be known for her kind spirit, warm heart, and gentle soul.
Joyce succumbed to a sudden cancer illness. When her soul left this world, she was at peace, surrounded by her closest family and friends who love her.
Joyce was pre-deceased by her parents, Willis and Alma Finney, and her sister, Sandra. She is survived by her loving husband Bryan, son Brandon (April), daughter Jillayne (Jeff), and grandchildren Ryan and Natalie, and her sister Norma (Judson) Nelson. Visitation with the family was held Sunday, January 24, from 5-8p.m. at the Perinchief Funeral home, on High Street, Mount Holly.
