Jean Eldora Potrament, 86

Jean Eldora Potrament, 86 passed away Sunday, May 15, 2016 at the Kittson Memorial Nursing Home,  Hallock, Minn.
Jean was born to Albin and Mabel Sjostrand on April 5, 1930. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. She attended Riverside School in Hazelton Township through 8th grade. Then continued her education at Lake Bronson School and graduated in 1948.
On August 9, 1950 she married Leonard  Potrament at Lake Bronson Union Church. They lived on a farm east of Lancaster, Minn., their entire married life. They were blessed with three children, Jerry and twin daughters, Lori and Lois.
Jean was a great homemaker and worked on their farm all of her life until her husband Leonard passed away in 1981. She also worked at Kittson Memorial as a housekeeper from 1985 to 1995. At that time she retired and loved every moment and spent lots of precious time with her family and friends. Jean also enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, canning and sharing her goodies with many and always helping others. She was also “Grandma Jean” to several little ones. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends as she touched the heart of so many.
Jean is survived by her twin daughters, Lori (John) Bergh, Hallock; Lois (Tim) Wilwand, Pembina N.D.; Grandchildren: Lonnie (Cassie) Bergh, daughter Sophia; Casey (Holly) Bergh, children, Kaden, Taylor and Megan; Lindsay (Brett) Lindgren, daughters Afton and Ivy; Karissa (Jeremy) Grube, daughters Jaya and Karsyn; Dustin (Kate) Fowler, and Kara Wilwand; sister, Ann Peterson and brother, Glen (Phyllis) Sjostrand; sister-in-laws Marlys Sjostrand and Marian Sjostrand; brother-in-law Frankie Potrament; sister-in-laws Helen Boroski and Helen Potrament.
Preceding her in death was her loving husband, Leonard in 1981, son Jerry in 2015, her parents, Albin and Mabel Sjostrand; her sister Doris Kelley her brothers Morris, Andy and Ray Sjostrand; brothers-in- law Maurice Peterson and George Kelley; and sister-in-law Florence Sjostrand.
Funeral services were held Wednesday May 18, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Sion Lutheran Church,  Lancaster. A visitation was held Tuesday, May 17, 2016 from 6-8 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service at the Sion Lutheran Church,  Lancaster. Interment was in Riverview Memorial Garden Cemetery,  Lancaster. Rev. Melodi Hagen, presided; Eric Finney, soloist. Casket bearers were Jean’s grandchildren, Lonnie and Casey Bergh, Lindsay Lindgren, Karissa Grube, Dustin Fowler and Kara Wilwand.
Austin Funeral Chapel, Hallock was in charge of the arrangements.
