Darrell B. Skogen, 78, McGregor and Spring Lake Park, Minn., passed peacefully Sunday, Sept. 17, 2017.
Darrell retired from Old Dutch Foods after 41 years. Following retirement he and Rosemary moved in to the cabin in McGregor. There, Darrell took pride in his lawn care and enjoyed his time with his grandchildren and family – especially bonfires and pontoon rides….and eating cookies. He also loved the outdoors and hunting deer and pheasant.
Preceded in death by parents, Anna and Bennie Skogen; mother in-law and father in-law, Anne and Gordon Matthews; brother in-law and sister in-law, Bob and Darlene Carlson.
Survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Rosemary; children, Mary (Cal) Scott, Kim (Billy)Miller, Scott (Cindy) Skogen and Holly (Kurt) Struss; grandchildren, Jessica (Tony), Jenny (Kyle), Bobby (Cassie), Jimmy and Nikky; sister in-law and brother in-law, Karen and Bruce Rhodes; nieces and nephews; and other loving relatives and good friends.
Visitation was held from 4 to 6 p.m. with a time of celebration following at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2017, at Kozlak-Radulovich Blaine Chapel, Blaine, Minn.
