Arlene Carlson, 91
Arlene Carlson, 91, Yuma, Ariz. and formerly of Hallock, Minn., passed away Oct. 20, 2017 at Lifecare Center of Yuma following a heart attack and stroke.
Arlene Madaline Zielsdorf was born Sept. 26, 1926 in Eau Claire, Wis., to Arthur and Martha Zielsdorf. Arlene was united in marriage to Raymond Carlson in Hallock. They owned and operated the Conoco Gas Station and restaurant for many years. They later built Crossroads Supper Club and operated that with the help of her daughters, Suzanne and Dianne. When the supper club was destroyed by fire, Arlene moved with her daughter Vicki to Lolo, Mont., to help her daughter Dianne and son-in-law, Neil operate Campbell’s Steak House. She has been living in Arizona for the past few years.
Family members include daughters, Paulette (James) Gatheridge, Hum-boldt, Minn. and Vicki Schumm, Fort Collins, Col.; six grandchildren, Elizabeth (Dennis) Gatheridge Ander-son, LeAnna (Richard) Scott, Matthew (Krista) Campbell, Joshua (Alexia) Campbell, Brett Niles and Jonathon Niles; eight great grandchildren; a son-in-law, Neil Campbell, Port Isabel, Tex.; and a brother, Woody (Janet) Zielsdorf, Eau Claire, Wis.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; parents, Arthur and Martha; two daughters, Dianne Campbell and Suzanne and husband, John Niles; and a granddaughter, Brooke Camp-bell.
Memorial services will be held in the spring of 2018.
