Jerry D. Thompson, 70

Jerry D. Thompson, 70, Sturgeon Bay, Wis., passed away Dec. 3, 2017 at The Gathering in Sturgeon Bay.
He was born June 27, 1947 in Karlstad, Minn., to Sievert and Carrie Thompson.
Jerry served his country in the U.S. Army until receiving a medical discharge. For most of his life, he was a factory worker in a variety of industries. He also did farm work.
He is survived by his sister Connie (Bill) Mantor, Fridley, Minn.; many nieces and nephews; and good friends: Tanya White and her children. Brandon and Trevor; Rob and Brenda Vogel and their children Jillian and Laethen; Steve White and the staff at The Gathering.
He was preceded in death by his longtime friend, Wendy Vogel, his parents, five bothers, and eight sisters.
A celebration of his life was held at the Best Western Maritime Inn, Sturgeon Bay, Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2017 at 7 p.m.
Forbes Funeral Home and Cremations was in charge of arrangements.
