Rex Winger, 63, Stephen, Minn. passed away at his home Sunday, December 10, 2017.
Rex Arlen Winger was born October 27, 1954 in East Grand Forks, Minn., to Everett and Florence (Paetznick) Winger. The family settled near Kennedy, Minn. and Rex graduated from high school there in 1972. He worked as a long haul semi driver for many years. Rex had most recently worked on area farms near Stephen.
Family members include his siblings, Charles (Ann) Winger, Belgrade, Minn.; Mark (Lillian) Winger, Newfolden, Minn.; Thomas (Patty) Winger, Douglas, Wyo.; Mari Jo (Jason) Thomson, Drayton, N.D. and Kristi (Michael) Selfe, Boulder, Col.; a sister-in-law, JoAnn Winger, Lancaster, Minn., and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; step father, O’Neil Rude and a brother, Patrick.
Private family services were held at the Austin Funeral Chapel in Hallock Friday, December 15, 2017. Rev. Kate Johnson, presiding.
