Jeanette Johnson, 86

Jeanette Anne Johnson, 86, a lifelong Hallock, Minn., resident, passed away at Kittson Memorial Healthcare Center on Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2018.
Jeanette Seaman was born May 6, 1932, at Hallock to George and Hilda (Streed) Seaman and was baptized in the Lutheran faith.  Jeanette graduated from Hallock High School in 1950 and began working at the Hallock telephone office after completing her education.
On Feb. 20, 1953, she married Warren Johnson and settled in Hallock Township where they farmed for many years.  They retired in 1985 and enjoyed traveling during the winter months.  Warren passed away Feb. 19, 2000.  Jeanette moved from the farm into Hallock in 2001.
Jeanette was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.  She was also a member of the Homemakers and Whist Clubs. She volunteered at the Senior Center for several years.  Jeanette enjoyed sewing, craft work, collecting knickknacks (especially chickens) and spending the summer months with her children and grandchildren.  Jeanette found mowing the lawn a pleasure and was a country music fan.  She will be missed.
Jeanette is survived by daughters, Janice Sugden, Lancaster and Connie (Joel) Kramer, Hallock; a son, Tage (Connie) Johnson, Hallock; two grandsons, Chase (Priscilla) Kramer and Nicholas Johnson; a great grandson, Warren Kramer; a sister, Vickie (Paul) Hallstrom, California; two brothers, Jim (Paula) Baker, Fargo, N.D. and Ken (Donna) Baker, Fargo; as well as nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Warren.
Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 17, 2018, at 11 a.m. in Grace Lutheran Church, Hallock.  Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery, Hallock. Visitation was held at the church for one hour prior to the service. Rev. Frank Johnson, presiding; Galen Nordin soloist. Casket bearers were Chase Kramer, Nicholas Johnson, Matt Bakken, Nate Ingeman, Tom Swanson, Curtis Forfang, and Warren Kramer (Great Grandson).
