Vicki Lynn Schumm, 66, of Fort Collins, Colo., passed away in her home from cardiac arrest on May 29, 2019.
Vicki was born Aug. 11, 1952, in Hallock, Minn., to Raymond and Arlene Carlson. After graduating from Hallock High School in 1970, she moved to Minneapolis and worked a few years until she joined the U.S. Army Reserve. She spent 26 years with the Army. Vicki worked her last year at the Pentagon in support of Operation Desert Storm and Desert Shield. She retired in 1991 with the rank of Major, an accomplishment she was very proud of.
Vicki and her husband retired in Fort Collins, where she operated her own business from home for many years, Relocations Property Consultant.
Vicki is survived by her sister, Paulette (James) Gatheridge, Humboldt, Minn.; a brother-in-law, Neil Campbell, South Padre Island, Texas; nieces and nephews, Elizabeth (Dennis) Anderson, Lancaster, Minn., LeAnna (Richard) Scott, Roland, Man., Brett (Angelia) Niles, Olathe, Kan., Matthew (Krista) Campbell, Saratoga, Wyo., Josh (Alexia) Campbell, Simila, Colo. and Jonathan Niles, Huntsville, Ala.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Arlene; sisters, Suzanne and brother-in-law, John Niles, and Dianne Campbell; and a niece Brook Campbell.
Her family will have a private memorial service at a later date.
