Gerald Anderson, 84

Gerald Anderson, 84, of Roseau, Minn., passed away at Lifecare Manor in Roseau on Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2019, with loved ones by his side.
Gerald Conrad Anderson was born May 3, 1935, in Lake Bronson, Minn., the son of Melvin and Ida (Lindquist) Anderson. Gerald was raised in Lake Bronson and graduated from high school there. Soon after graduation he married Bonnie Hahn.
Our much loved husband and father was a Jack of All Trades. He trained horses, worked at saw mills, drove over the road semi, drove for Transystems and worked on area farms.
Gerald had a passion for the outdoors and walleye fishing (any season). He loved animals, but don’t tell anyone he secretly loved dogs! Gerald’s greatest love, of course, was family.
He is survived by: his wife, Bonnie; children, Barb (Brent) Thorsteinson, Kennedy, Minn., Patty Anderson, Ohio, and Tracy (Eric) Leedahl, Fargo, N.D.; beloved grandchildren, Nathan, Daphnie, Billy, Carson, Talon, Tayla, Thailin, Tay, Savannah, Paige, CharLee and Dawson; brothers, Arlen, David (Lynn) and Paul; and an aunt, Lois Lindquist.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; and his only beloved son, Rick Anderson. May you all know that in his life he loved you more!
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2019, at 2 p.m. in the Lancaster Covenant Church, Lancaster, Minn. Interment was in Riverside Cemetery, Lake Bronson. Visitation was held at the church for one hour prior to the service.
