Dennis Irving Collins, 58

Dennis Irving Collins, 58, passed away on Nov. 23, 2018, after suffering complications from a stroke.
He was born in St. Paul, Minn., on Dec. 8, 1934. After graduating from Lake Bronson High School in 1953, he served in Korea with the Army from 1954-56. Upon returning to the States, Dennis attended the Minnesota School of Business; worked for the Minneapolis Park Board for eight years, and then started his own business, AAA Tree Service. He retired from his tree business in 1991.
Dennis is survived by his wife of 28 years, Barbara; sons, Perry (Mary) of Castle Rock, Minn., and Randy (Karen) of Prior Lake, Minn.; daughter, Colleen Entrikin (George) of Ft. Myers, Fla.; step-daughters, Pamela Jean Whyte (Scott) and Elzibeth Anne Ballard; his nine grandchildren, Michelle (Angel) Herrera, Matthew (Abby) Collins, Andrew Collins (special friend Brittany), Timothy Collins; Angela (Timothy) Klugherz, Christopher (Abby) Collins, Joseph (Melinda) Collins; Colin (Abby) Entrikin and Emilie Entrikin; his seven great-grandchildren, Cody and Lexie Klugherz, Angel and David Herrera, Sadie and Elliott Collins and Bennet Collins; step-grandchild, Trevor John Ballard.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2019, at 11 a.m. in the American Legion in Lake Bronson. A lunch and social time will be at 12 p.m, followed by private interment for family and close friends.
